An SDAP funded training session for pharmacists, and staff providing supervised

administration to clients, covering the following topics :

• The purpose, benefits and drawbacks of opiate substitution therapy and the use of

supervised consumption

• A service user’s perspective – What receiving supervision can be like from a service

user’s perspective. What can help and what can hinder the process.

• The Supervised Administration 4 way policy and guidelines and its use.
